- Dalhousie Public School respects your right to control your personal information. This page explains what information we hold and how you can request its deletion at any time.
- What information we may hold about you. If you have used the forms on this Website, we may hold: your name, the name of your child, your phone number, email address, city, state and pincode, the class applied for, and any message you submitted. If you applied for a position through our Careers page, we may also hold the resume you uploaded. If you verified your mobile number through WhatsApp, we hold a record of that verification. Enquiry details are delivered to the School’s admissions inbox and admissions management system.
- How to request deletion of your data — Step 1. Send an email to infochd@dpsdalhousie.com with the subject line “Data Deletion Request”. Please send it from the same email address you used on the Website, or mention the phone number you submitted, so we can locate your records. You may also call the School office at 011 6909 8645 to make the request.
- Step 2 — Verification. To protect your privacy, we may contact you on the phone number or email address on record to confirm that the request genuinely comes from you before deleting anything.
- Step 3 — Deletion. Once verified, we will delete your personal information from the Website’s records, our admissions enquiry system and our communication lists within 30 days of your request, and will send you a confirmation once it is complete.
- Data received through WhatsApp, Facebook or Instagram. If you have interacted with the School through our WhatsApp communications (including one-time verification codes) or through our pages on Meta platforms, you may use the same process above to request deletion of the information we received through those channels.
- Exceptions. We may be required to retain certain information where the law requires it, or where it forms part of the official academic record of an enrolled student. Any information retained under such an exception will not be used for marketing or further communication.
- Effect of deletion. After your data is deleted, you will no longer receive communications from the School regarding your enquiry. If you contact us again in the future, a new record will be created.
